Low-Quality Irrigation Water Treated Using Waste Biofilters

چکیده
Although in water-deficient regions, agricultural runoff, drainage water or surplus irrigation is often used, there are constraints related to its quality be considered (salinity, nutrients and pollutants). Thus, it necessary treat considering the low-energy supply systems available farmers. This work focuses on a nature-based treatment system consisting of two prototypes anaerobic bioreactors with horizontal vertical flow. To enhance circular economy strategy, different wastes (coarse sand almond pruning) were used as bioreactor components. The aim research was monitor (pH, electrical conductivity, suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, alkalinity bicarbonate, carbonate nitrogen contents) before after treatment. All parameters studied (except demand) reduced by treatments, but large variations. Furthermore, 100% reduction flow filter bed formed coarse pruning. It observed that variation concentration some associated type (i.e., C/N ratio residue) design for circulation findings promising, further needed achieve reductions all parameters.

Water Quality Monitoring And Controlling In Irrigation Using Zigbee Technology
Irrigated agriculture is dependent on an adequate water supply of usable quality. Water used for irrigation can vary greatly in quality depending upon type and quality of dissolved salts. Salts are present in irrigation water in relatively small but significant amounts. The problems that result very both and kind, degree and modified by soil, climate and crop. متن کاملIntake and digestibility of 'coastal' bermudagrass hay from treated swine waste using subsurface drip irrigation.
Waste handling systems for confined swine production in the upper South (approximately 32-37 degrees N and 79-93 degrees W) depend mainly on anaerobic lagoons and application of the waste effluent to cropland. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the quality of 'Coastal' bermudagrass [Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.] hay receiving effluent generated from a raw swine waste treatment syst...
متن کاملMercury pollution from irrigation with treated sewage water (TSW).
The lack of potable water in arid countries leads to the use of treated sewage water (TSW) for crop growth. Mercury accumulation (up to 500 ng/g) in agricultural soil originating from daily irrigation with TSW was found at two sites fed separately from a hospital sewage plant and an industrial plant. A control site irrigated with potable water ([Hg] <0.01 ng/ml) had much reduced levels in soil ...
متن کاملAnimal Waste Regulation and Transboundary Water Quality
Control of animal waste has been a major policy challenge. We identify the properties of efficient regulation and suggest that effective policies to control animal waste will enhance utilization of manure in local production and may change land allocation among crops. We also show that policies that aim to control local environmental problems, ignoring spillover among regions, may be significan...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Quality of Irrigation Water of Downstream of the Zard River Using Statistical Analysis
Rivers are one of the most important source of water supply for drinking and farming purposes. Zard River is one of the surface water resources of Khuzestan province. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of the river water and to observe the trend of changes in the water quality of this river in the Mashin station during the period of 1997-2015 by using the Man-Kendal, Spearman,...
